Junior Life Kids: God Tested Abraham
This week we are continuing our bible reading with God tested Abraham. Genesis 22:1-9 - Imagine how upset Abraham must have been in obedience to God. He finally was given his first born son and was asked to sacrifice him. Just as the knife was raised God substituted his son with a ram.
Questions
How do you think Abraham felt?
Why was he willing to go through with it?
What was Abraham's hope in?
The story of Abraham’s obedience to God and above all God provided the lamb for the burnt offering. God provided the Lamb of God Jesus, to die and take away the sins of the world.
Prayer
Thank you God that in reading about Abraham we see his obedience and love for you. We also see your plan revealed, that through Abraham’s descendants you sent your son Jesus as the Lamb of God to take our sins in your death, so we may be called and walk with you. Holy Spirit help us walk in obedience to you and with a joyful heart knowing that we are yours.

By loving him and obeying his commands and law.
Deuteronomy11;1 You Shall therefore love the Lord your God and keep charge, his statutes, his rules and commands always.

Prayer
Gracious Lord, we want to fully know and enjoy you. Open our eyes to see you and trust you to and desire to keep your commandments. Whether through small kindness or acts of courage, may each act bring glory to you.
