The gospel tells us that God loves us and has done good things for us through his Son Jesus Christ. Because of his great love for us, God sent his son Jesus Christ to die the death that we deserved, and to give us his perfect record. This means that we are acceptable now to God through faith in Jesus Christ. When we accept him, we are forgiven for all of our sins (past, present, and future) and Jesus becomes our King! We are far more broken by sin than we would ever dare to admit, and we are far more loved by a perfect God than we could ever imagine. This is the good news of the gospel!
