REGATHERING
WE ARE COMING TOGETHER FOR SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES FROM SUNDAY 12 JULY | 9AM.
We are now meeting in the CCSA Hall, 1 NUTLEY ST CALOUNDRA.
If you are sick, or displaying any signs of COVID-19 (e.g. fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, sneezing/runny nose or loss of sense of smell). Please stay home. If you are awaiting results from being tested for COVID-19, have been in contact with any known or suspected cases of COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or have returned or been in contact with anyone else who has returned, from overseas in the past 14 days, please stay home.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Following recommendations from the QLD Government, we are taking measures to ensure the health and safety of all our attendees. These requirements will have a small impact on the way that we operate our services. See below:
Entering the hall.
Each person will be required to use hand sanitiser as you enter the hall, and one person from each household will be required to sign your household in for contact tracing. We will make this as quick as possible, but it does mean that there will be slight delays on entry (so make sure you start arriving from 8:45am). Refusal to sign in on entry will mean that we won’t be allowed to let you into the building. A copy of these records will be kept by both LCC Caloundra and the board of the CCSA Hall strictly for the use of contact tracing, and will be destroyed after 56 days.
Physical Distancing.
The most important thing that we can be doing is maintaining a safe distance from others. We’re replacing hand shakes and hugs with air-fives and waves, and there will be changes in how the seats are arranged. This will feel strange, but it’s important for safety. Let’s have some fun with it!
Morning Tea.
Morning Tea will be provided, however we will only be able to provide prepackaged food (individually wrapped), and coffee and tea will be administered by someone wearing gloves. We also won’t be able to provide you with water, so please bring a water bottle.
Communion.
Communion will resume as part of our church service, however each person taking communion will need to come to a table at the front to collect it.
Capacity.
With the 1 person per 4m2 rule, there is a limit to the number of people that we can have in the building at one time (70 total). We have some contingency plans in place if our numbers approach this figure, and appreciate your understanding and patience during these times.
We believe that adhering to these requirements keeps one another safe, and is a demonstration of the care and love of Jesus Christ to one another.. It is also commanded by scripture to honour and obey our governing authorities (Romans 13:1-2; 1 Peter 2:13-17), and so we do this as a witness to the community around us.
There are other measures to consider, and we will endeavour to keep you as informed as possible as we regather. We understand that all of this is very new, and it’s hard to understand some of these requirements, but isn’t it also a joy and an honour to lay aside our own agendas and serve one another! While this season has been strange and fluid, we serve a God whom the Psalms constantly call a Rock—a sure foundation!
